The Schneider Electric A9F77410 is a 4-pole, 10A C-curve miniature circuit breaker from the Acti9 iC60N range – the most widely specified Acti9 MCB for commercial buildings, residential towers and light-industrial panels. It protects cables and equipment against overloads and short circuits in three-phase plus neutral feeders and main incomers, and is installed on a standard DIN rail inside distribution boards and control panels.
Key features
- C-curve tripping characteristic suited to general loads such as lighting, sockets, air conditioners and small motors (trips at 5–10 × In)
- 4-pole design for three-phase plus neutral feeders and main incomers
- Breaking capacity 10 kA at 400 V (IEC/EN 60947-2)
- Positive contact indication – the handle shows the real contact position for safe isolation
- Fast clip-on mounting on 35 mm DIN rail and compatibility with standard comb busbars
- Compatible with Acti9 auxiliaries (auxiliary contacts, shunt trips, Vigi earth-leakage add-ons)

Selection guide
Match the rated current to the cable size of the circuit (for example 10 A for 1.5 mm² lighting, 16–20 A for 2.5 mm² sockets and 25–32 A for 4–6 mm² air-conditioner lines), choose the curve according to the load inrush, and make sure the breaking capacity is higher than the prospective short-circuit current at the board. For earth-leakage protection, combine the MCB with an Acti9 RCCB or use an RCBO.
Frequently asked questions
What is the A9F77410 used for?
It is a 4P 10A C-curve MCB used to protect three-phase plus neutral feeders and main incomers against overload and short circuit in residential, commercial and industrial distribution boards.
Can the A9F77410 protect against electric shock?
No. An MCB protects cables against overload and short circuit only. For protection against earth leakage and electric shock, add a 30 mA RCCB (residual current circuit breaker) upstream or use an RCBO.
What is the difference between the C curve and the B or D curves?
A C-curve breaker trips magnetically between 5 and 10 times its rated current and suits most general loads. B curve (3–5 × In) is for resistive loads and long cables, while D curve (10–20 × In) is for transformers and motors with high inrush current.
