The Hager ADC is a 1P+N 10–40 A C-curve RCBO with 30 mA earth-leakage sensitivity and 6 kA breaking capacity. It combines a miniature circuit breaker and a residual current device in one module, protecting the circuit against overload, short circuit and dangerous earth-leakage currents, and saving space in the distribution board.

Key features

  • Overload, short-circuit and earth-leakage protection in one device
  • 30 mA sensitivity – protection of people against electric shock
  • Individual protection per circuit – a fault trips only the affected circuit
  • Test button for periodic checking
  • DIN-rail mounting and compact width

Typical applications

  • Bathroom, kitchen and water-heater circuits
  • Outdoor sockets, gardens and swimming pools
  • Individual protection of air-conditioner and socket circuits
  • Villas, apartments, clinics and offices

Selection and installation tips

Choose the RCBO rating according to the cable size of the circuit, as for an MCB, and use 30 mA sensitivity for socket and wet-area circuits. Using an RCBO per circuit avoids total blackout of the apartment when one appliance leaks.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between an RCBO and an RCCB?

An RCCB only detects earth leakage; an RCBO adds overload and short-circuit protection, so it can replace an MCB + RCCB combination for a single circuit.

Where is the Hager ADC typically installed?

On circuits feeding water heaters, bathrooms, kitchens, outdoor sockets and air conditioners where both overcurrent and shock protection are needed.
